I know I'm not the only one on here who listens to TOOL. They have to be the greatest band active today. I'm going to Bonnaroo this year in Manchester, Tennessee, and I'm going to be so upset I'll f*****g cry blood if Tool cancels. It sucks as is that they postponed their 2007 North American tour dates because of Danny tearing a ligament in his bicep. They were supposed to come here to the midwest in the summer but now it looks like a no-go :( Whatever, since I missed the last time they were in town, I am never going to miss another opportunity to see them live again.

How about just a general Maynard James Keenan appreciation thread?

As far as Tool songs, here are my picks:

The Patient
Third Eye
Triad
Reflection
You Lied (Peach cover)
Rosetta Stoned
4 Degrees
Vicarious (I don't care what anyone says)
Sweat
Opiate
Cold and Ugly
Jerk Off
Push It
Ticks and Leeches
Disposition

No offense werbert, but that's a horrible idea... okay, it's not horrible, seeing as how Maynard obviously has talent and his work has touched my life in many ways, etc. Plus, I do think A Perfect Circle is the s**t. Thirteenth Step is where it's at for me. But, Danny is such a kick ass drummer. Justin is a really kick ass bassist. And Adam isn't only the s**t at guitar but as an artist too. TOOL wouldn't be the same without Maynard, but it's not all about him. And plus, I hear he's a dick to fans anyway. I'm not ripping on him, I just think the whole band needs to be appreciated, not just Maynard.

there by far the most innovative band of the last 20 years. although i would say i am probably a bigger Defotnes fan than Tool...regardless, i think there may even be a chance of some autistic traits dwelling in maynards head somewhere...

anyone have a take on that???

I also love Tool but I agree they don't deserve that title, though 2rd or 3rd seems fitting.
