Can anyone give me any good recomendations for manga? I use to be a big fan in high school and now I am trying to get back into it.

I have read Pokemon, One Piece, Naruto, Cardcaptor Sakura, Rahxephon. But please give me any kinds of manga titles you can think of.

I do recommend AzuManga Daioh, Yotsuba!,Excel Saga, Hellsing series, Video Girl Ai, Fruits Basket, Hana Kimi For You in Full Blossom, Lupin III.

Some of the manga can be found in bookstores. Though a few in that list are going to be harder to find due to the year it was made. Some are going to be kind of mature themed.

I know more but I can't think of it right now. :-/

I wholly recommend all CLAMP manga, as well as Amulet. Claymore is my second favourite after CLAMP, though bear in mind it contains graphic imagery, swearing, nudity, and a lot of violence and disturbing stuff.

I like Yotsuba! too!

I recommend

Watamote - Comedy about a socially awkward high school student
Ajin - Action about people who can't die
Boku dake ga inai machi - Time traveling to save people

Dogs: Bullets and Carnage
An extremely well-down and beautifully drawn sci-fi manga that blew away my expectations. Each character is extremely well-written, realistic, and well developed. Is able to balance action and comedy very well. Definitely worth the read and leaves you wanting more.

Crimson Spell
Nemureru Tsuki

Flower of Evil is really good. There are 11 volumes but it's a quick read. It's also dark and twisted so if you don't like that, I wouldn't recommend it.

I'm pretty sure Houmonsha and Nemureru Tsuki don't have anything you wouldn't see on TV. They are both by the same author who is known for her complex stories and characters, not her explicit scenes. You should be able to enjoy these two.

Crimson Spell is explicit.

Just so you know, yaoi/yuri are typically used to refer to manga that are really explicit...

^ That sounds interesting. Would you be doing the writing like with your novel and your partner be doing the art?

I've never seen any asexual romantic manga...but there are a lot of romantic manga without any sex, just kissing. Then there are the "slashy" sorts where they are close friends like in Hunter x Hunter.

I seem to have a bit more luck with lesbian pairings in video games. Of course, there's always CLAMP manga! :P :D

^Cardcaptor Sakura is usually a great place to start with Clamp, and then possibly Magic Knight Reyearth.
