Just finished a big part of my new film, but scared to death
I've been researching a documentary since 2013, about a student who went missing while on a class trip. I've interview family, friends, investigators, and after six months of solid work, I've completed a "radio edit," which is audio only, along with sketches and placeholder images for the visuals. It's called a storyboard, akin to a blueprint for a film, to give a sense of what the film will actually look like when it's shot.
So now I'm planning my shoots, and working out the shots I need to get, and really planning things out. I'm sharing my work with a few others to get feedback. I'm trying to do all I can to make this film as good as it can be, yet I'm terrified that the movie will ultimately be crap, and I'll be a failure because I'm simply not good enough to tell the story. I fear letting this family down with a mediocre film. I just cannot escape the fear that no matter what I do, how hard I try, I'm just never going to be good enough.
