Anyone ever heard the song? I'll post the lyrics:
When you were here before
Couldn't look you in the eye
You're just like an angel
Your skin makes me cry
You float like a feather
In a beautiful world
I wish I was special
You're so f*****g special

But I'm a creep
I'm a weirdo
What the hell am I doing here?
I don't belong here

I don't care if it hurts
I want to have control
I want a perfect body
I want a perfect soul
I want you to notice when I'm not around
You're so f*****g special
I wish I was special

But I'm a creep
I'm a weirdo
What the hell I'm doing here?
I don't belong here

She's running out the door
She's running out
She runs runs runs

Whatever makes you happy
Whatever you want
You're so f*****g special
I wish I was special

But I'm a creep
I'm a weirdo
What the hell am I doing here?
I don't belong here
I don't belong here

I love that song! :) It was shortened on a BBC radio station because it was deemed too depressing.

Its a great song. ^BBC think it's depressing!? Then they shouldn't show Eastenders!

Amanda Palmer does a great cover of this song (accompanying herself on ukelele.)

I don't like it much at all, really. It's been played to death and associated with AS alienation so much here on the site that it's practically a pathetic joke now, to me. Honestly, if you want to post songs that you think relate to what it's like having AS, post something less well-associated with the traditional 'loser' demographic. Stuff like Somewhere I Belong by Linkin Park, Fake It by Seether, and Easier by Dope.

This is why I dislike the song. Zokk nailed it.

Does it not seem worth it to enjoy music YOU like, not dismiss something because it's associated with unfavourable people/traits or been played to death? Also I have to wonder how music like this gets played to death in the first place, one has to listen exclusively to radio that's been playing this song over and over, otherwise you yourself has to forcibly play this song to death, indicating you enjoyed it enough in the first place to do so.

I like the song, I particularly enjoy the version below coupled with the visual aspect of the brilliant video. I don't love it, I have much more music I enjoy more than this song, or any other songs from Radiohead. I still listen to it on occasion, because my enjoyment is not diminished by someone else's opinion.

When I saw Idina Mendel live she covered this song and it was the best thing ever.

I like depressing music. I like the song, but not the lyrics so much. As for Radiohead, I like "fade out" / "street spirit" much better. It's more existential.
