So, every time Comixology has a sale, I buy in bulk. The problem is, I haven't had a lot of time to read. As a consequence, I have a huge backlog (probably 10,000 pages, really) to read.

Lucky for me, I have a nice long break from school this summer and I've vowed to not read anything else (for pleasure) until I clear this comics backlog....

Right now, I'm reading Batman and Son. This is Grant Morrison's first run on Batman. So far I'm enjoying it quite a bit.

The story involves Bruce's discovery of Damian Wayne, his son with Talia al Ghul, and Damian's integration into the Bat-family as the 4th (?) Robin. There's also an important kidnapping by Talia and the League of Assassins and ninja man-bats!

After this, I think I'll read some Marvel stuff (mostly Captain America/Winter Soldier) and then some indy comics...

Anyways, feel free to comment and/or post about things you've read or plan to read.

Tag spoilers, etc.

The family and I just stopped at the Comic Book Shop (yes, that's both the store's name, and a description of it's business type), and picked up the most recent issues of Howard The Duck, and Creepy, while my wife got Agents Of Shield. I haven't read any of them since purchase.

Just recently finished getting all the issues in the Superheavy story arc of Snyder's Batman. I've read every issue thus far and have really enjoyed his run.

I'm also still reading the Darkseid War even though it can be so boring sometimes. I'll probably read Infinity Gauntlet afterwards.

Snyder's Batman is the only major comic title I try to keep up with. I loved his run on Detective Comics "The Black Mirror" and I also really liked "Court/City of Owls." Gotta say, I was a bit disappointed with "Death of the Family". It wasn't bad, but not as great as his other stuff. I've got Batman: Zero Year waiting on the shelf right now.

I've also got a bunch of Batman: Eternal on my list...

So, I broke my rule and picked up a few new titles during the DC Rebirth launch...

I picked up Batman--it seems okay... starting some Calendar Man story. I think I'll wait for the trade.

Green Lanterns was okay--a team up between rookie lanters Jessica Cruz and Simon Baz. Baz is kind of interesting since he got his ring whie interned on terrorism charges. Still, I think I'll wait for the trade here too.

Finally, I picked up Green Arrow: Rebirth & Green Arrow #1. Rebith was supposed to "bring the characters back to their roots." This one actually does that. This feels like the Adams/O'Neil Green Arrow I read in the 70's.

Ollie is a self-proclaimed Social Justice Warrior and within the first few pages he's hooked-up with Black Canary as they investigate a human trafficking ring... This is supposed to come out twice a month. I think I'll buy it by the issue--at least through the first story arc.

Also, I just finished Star Trek/Planet of the Apes: The Primate Directive... It was fun.

Next, I think I'll read some Judge Dredd, or maybe The Sixth Gun (I love wierd westerns) while I'm waiting for the next issue of Green Arrow.

I have just started to read comics and am really enjoying Ms. Marvel and the new Thor and Saga and I just started Rat Queens as well which seems like it's going to be fun. Ones I haven't started yet that I want to read are Captain Marvel and Hawkeye and maybe Captain America and Spider-Man .

Reread Batman: Hush, Jeph Loeb is a great batman writer! I think I need to FINALLY read Dark Victory...

Just finishing Winter Soldier. I think I'll probably end up reading all the way through the death of cap, at least.... That means I'll hafta read Civil War (I) as well.

Also reading more of The Sixth Gun, Green Arrow, and I might check out Justice League Rebirth #1 since it's coming out this week.

A tip for anybody reading digital trades--Amazon Kindle's prices are always better than comixology.

This is pretty weird since Amazon owns comixology and any comic you buy via kindle is automatically imported to comixology, but there you go...

I just finished the first volume of Tom King's Vision. Great stuff, very dark in an ominous, eerie way.

The girlfriend of my ex grandpa in law is a major geek and also an aspie. I came to her awesome house in Seattle and she gave me an old comic to read.

...Watchmen.

Currently, I'm pulling Batman, Action Comics (I wanna know what's up with Superman), Green Arrow, and Suicide Squad.

I'm also trying to catch up with Walking Dead and The Sixth Gun(which just ended it's run).
