After winning against the third Faltonian Gym Leader, Ash starts to think about what he would do when, and if, he wins the Falton Leauge, and settles on going back to visit Pallet Town to look his childhood next door neighbor and crush, a certain friendly yet shy blonde. Little does he know, she is closer than he thinks.

"Ash," Eight year old Rachel began, "I-I need to show you something." She led him into her minimalist yet pretty blue and white room, and sat down on the bed, patting the spot next to her. "You know how my sisters have always been really passive to me and how my mom and dad have been gone for the past few months, right?"

Ash reluctauntly took the spot next to her with a worried look on his face. "Yeah..."

Rachel placed a hand on her forehead and parted her wispy blonde bangs, revealing a deep gash in her forehead. "They don't wanna take care of me, so they would tell their Pokemon to attack me."

Ash's expression was one of pure shock. "Say what!? Rachel, is this what you've been hiding from everyone!? You need to either learn how to stand up for youself or tell someone! Now, I won't be able to do anything since I'm leaving on my Pokemon adventure tommorow, but you need to do something!"

Rachel winced at Ash's yelling. "I'm scared. If I do tell someone, it'll only get worse..." she said quietly. She then flashed a reassuring smile at him. It's okay, we've been best friends for long enough. Go home and get some sleep, move on with your life, and be the best Pokemon Master like no one ever was starting tomorrow!"

They both heard the door open, and Brittany poke her head in, her long, curly reddish brown hair hanging down. "I'm sorry..." her piercing green eyes glared at them. "Did I just hear you say what I think you said, sis?"

School was out today, but only to see the 4th graders off on their adventures. Being bombarded with the Gary fangirls was rather annoying, since she was so much shorter than them and couldn't see where she was going. Suddenly, a familliar black haired boy shoved his way through the crowd. "Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, any of them are fine, just save one for me!" He shouted. In all of the exitement he must have completely forgot. I... I won't worry him and remind him of last night. She thought. She turned on her heel, but looked back over her shoulder to get one last glance at him. "Goodbye... Ash." She whispered, and ran as fast as she could back home.
