Writing assignment

I've just started an MA in Creative Writing and I've got my first assignment due Friday. It's meant to be 5000 words but I'm finding it really hard . I know what I'm trying to say and I've got the picture in my head but I can't get the words right on paper and it's taking way longer than it should do. I spent all weekend researching and started the writing part yesterday, but even after not leaving my room for two days I'm still only on 645 words, and beginning to get really stressed about not finishing it on time. Has anyone else had this problem? Any advice would be really helpful!
