I got the impression that Roger called David with the idea, or that Geldof was the catalyst and Roger was the first one to bite. It was a nice touch for Roger Waters to mention Syd Barrett. It was the only real highlight of the event, for me, with their short set being brilliant. It is a shame that people let little things get in the way of destroying something that could have been amazing. Roger Waters would have to learn how to work as a group before anything else can happen. The end of Pink Floyd with him in it was because he wanted control over everything.
