Does anyone here attempt to pick things apart in music?

In this case I'm talking about vocal harmonies. Though with the help of Youtube on a lot of pop harmonies, I've been picking these 2 apart a lot lately. For instance. . .
Howard Jones- Everlasting Love
This one seems to have around 4 parts in the chorus. The majority of them fall below the lead though there may be one that goes above.
Mr. Mister- Kyrie
The vocals were multi-tracked extensively by Richard Page and Steve George giving the result a very powerful choral sound. But, one thing I've been stumped on is if the lower harmonies are there before the key change (C) or if said vocals only kick in afterwards (D).
