I did not really listen to music in the summer of 1995. But I did like the John Lennon version of Stand By Me. So I registered the song to our Macintosh computer with a microphone my father bought. To fit it on one diskette, I set the compression to 6-1. Mp3 had yet to be invented in that time. And our poor LC II had only a 80 megabytes hard drive.

In december 2018 I decided to convert most of my diskettes from that era to image files, so I could use them with an emulator (in this case SheepShaver). I filmed myself doing this, without really any purpose in mind, except possibly making a future montage. I then stumbled upon the old recording. Hence this video...
