Roy Lichtenstein was a thief. He blatantly copied many great comic book artists, often poorly.
http://davidbarsalou.homestead.com/LICH ... OJECT.htmlBut in the 60's, 70's and 80's people who wanted to do comics drew in these styles:
Frazetta
Neal Adams
Bernie Wrightson
Barry Windsor Smith
Jack Kirby
John Byrne
Jim Lee
Rob Liefeld
Todd McFarlane
This would be a partial list
wow, that guy with the deconstructing roy lichtenstein website didn't get the point of what lichtenstein was doing....
next thing someone complains that warhol didn't take the pictures of monroe and mao himself, or that duchamp didn't form his fountain.
and I gues that then goes for you, too zkydz. Lichtenstein's art was not his originality, but exactly that he copied "cheap" graphics, that were not even his own creation.
