Uhm.... Boring rock about Harry potter is its own genre now? - Is Harry potter its iwn genre in literature? Hardly, I would say.
And there goes the list - it either includes stuff from the late nineties/early 2000s, or lists ridiculously specific nuances - like "noise, but noisier".
The only new things are seapunk and vaporwave, although, seapunk is a subgenre of vaporwave, really...
Vaporwave was actually new - if you can say that of a music that's basically a zombified version of existing music- and it's a truly bizarre genre. But since its inception it has largely turned into the much older genre of synthwave.
The internet has not really given us anything really new beyond endless fracturing into tinier and tinier subgenres - and the bizarre slowed down and glitched 80s remix that is vaporwave.
