Idk if this belongs here or not...

Do you think sleeping beauty had nightmares?

I know she's not real  Just enjoy speculating about fairy tales.

In my story that I had as a kid, she went to sleep for 100 years. So there could've been decades worth of nightmares...

Possibly. Depends on whether her sleep was dreamless or not.

My theory would be use as your still awake when your asleep and dream in the REM phase which happens about 4 times a night. So I presume she would get about 12 a day. I can't be bothered to work out how many dreams she would have in 100 years. So I suspect some would be nightmares though

I'm more concern about her bladder though!

If you're talking about the original version by Basile, rather than Perrault / Brothers Grimm, she's raped in her sleep.

I'd say that would cause some nightmares.

Original fairy tales are usually pretty grim.

Red Riding wood is eaten by the wolf.
Snow White liver and lungs were suppose to be super. No kiss happened either and the apple was jolted out whilst being moved in the carriage.
Goldilocks is ripped to shreds and Cinderella killed her step mother to get a new one.

Goldilocks getting ripped to shreds makes sense... these are bears she's dealing with after all.

How many of y'all've seen this:

It's Jean Cocteau's "Beauty and the Beast": this is one of many films that Disney plagiarized and never gave credit to, I really hate that company :x

Because of course Disney would do that. Some of their history is not good.

So much of their history is not good: "Uncle Walt" was a pretty nasty person! Ub Iwerks:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ub_Iwerks

was the real father of Mickey Mouse!

Anyway, here's another good one:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snow_Whit ... _of_Terror

But, if you like surreal films I highly recommend this one:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blancanieves

Again, Snow White, but set in the 1920's, and she's a toreador, in Spain: very dark! Like the Jean Cocteau, Beauty and the Beast, it's a feast for the eyes!
