Is there a musical term for hitting drum sticks together?

I thought about doing that in music writing, but I know I have seen this done before. Does anyone know if there is a correct musical terminology for doing this and does anyone know any songs, or symphonies where this is done, to get ideas for how it sounds and what kind of tunes you can have with it?

I've seen the term "stick click" used for hitting two drumsticks together.
