Why doesn't audible have all the books I want?

There's a collection of books that I used to read as a child that I still love now, and I bought the audible app specially to download and listen to the audiobooks. There are about 13 (audio)books altogether but I could only find 9, which I bought on audible. The missing 4 aren't all the latest books or anything, they're the second, forth, fifth and thirteenth. I'm really desperate to have the whole set, as they don't sell them in any stores and they're never in stock to order online because they're rather old books.

If audible can provide most books from a set (all written by the same author) then surely it should provide the whole set. I thought the copyright crap wouldn't be a barrier if you paid to download them. It's so frustrating. I hate the internet sometimes. It can be such a disappointment. :x

If you'd like, pm me the titles and I'll see if I can find them elsewhere for you.

But will I be able to get them on to my audible app though if they're found elsewhere?

I'm not an audible user myself so can't be sure, but I'd be surprised if they use their own proprietary standard.

Correction, I'd be surprised if they don't support other standards than their own.
Most audio books seems to come as mp3s, try a free mp3 and see if it works.
Or go ahead and find an alternative, and ask via audibles support if it would work.
