Take a song, any song, and reapply the lyrics...
To something completely unrelated to the song itself but makes sense in your own mind.
This is a song from a video game called Granblue Fantasy sung by a demonic villain called Belial. It's called "Morning Light Hymnus"
But the lyrics make me think of Hades the Greek God of the Underworld and the sadness he must feel every time his beloved wife Persephone the Goddess of Spring leaves him to visit her mother Demeter for half a year. I can actually picture him singing this.

It’s too hard to describe, the million lonely nights without you
The darkness and the chill, I’ve shut my eyes to reveal what’s left down inside
Shadows fall at morning light, the bells of revelation ring (For whom they toll!)
Ears fall deaf as the sound grows, my Herald shall reclaim the throne (Glory, be true!)
Aa-aah, look upon me!
Someday, we shall meet once more (But how much longer must I wait?)
Out there, in a parallel sky (But by whose wings do you fly?)
A sea of love, tides of hate, lie before us
Drown in my soul, give yourself all to me, and wander no more
I need you back beside me, hollow fool that I am
Grant me just one wish I beg, please take your servant’s hand…
And when the night is reborn, the stars will tremble and fall in astral downpour
Thus two as one, shall wreak vast, new creation
A million nights could pass without a trace, so long as you’re mine
