Let me find my fellow thrash-puppies.

I'm always searching for of bands Ive never heard before, that fit in my (admittedly) one-eyed musical tastes. The primary criteria is energy, manifesting as either blistering pace, insane grunt or deafening distortion.
Secondary is variety, syncope, body crushing bass lines and riffs with a barb.
I'm looking in particular for stuff local to you.
I stumbled across Chixdiggit in Canada, Veruca Salt in the States, I would LOVE to find some recordings of a punkbilly outfit I saw busking in Camden in 81 called "the Klingons."

From the Jam to Sum41, the Damned to the Gimme Gimmes, show me some energy.

I'm starting with a little known Cosmic Psychos video, and that's me..the first person you see. :D

These are a couple of favorites of mine. New York band Choking Victim, later known as Leftover Crack.

I like the Cosmic Psychos video. That's you with the long blond hair?

Yes bee. I'm the Lucius Malfoy body double.
Thanks guys... That's a great start.
It's interesting that the landmines sound different with the lights on. Having the camera next to the drum kit probably wasn't a great idea. Was that a daytime college gig? Nobody is anywhere near drunk enough for a non-underage gig in my experience.

You nailed it with Choking Victim. They'll be making my bonfire playlist.

I used to see these guys all the time

These guys were always worth catching.
I put the clip in a spoiler as it leaves a disturbing image on screen.
The versions that don't are age restricted or live.

Come on people...give me your local punk legends!
Oh... No embedding in a spoiler it seems

Think these guys were Cincinnati based?

Excellent.

But I'd better add something to the selection criteria.

I don't like Oi!
When punk devolved to Oi they lost me completely.
Once a song hits a certain level of monotony I get disinterested very quickly.
The same can be said of metal. Some of my favourite groups are decidedly metal, but once they pass the monotony threshold they leave me cold
I'm afraid Deus Vult I find JUST hits the monotony trigger, despite having good engineering.

Bee nails it again with the Pist... Awesome!

Orchid has so much potential, but it's really hard to tell when relying on camera audio.
Nobody thought to tap the mix desk?
We once bootlegged a Midnight Oil gig and had pressure zone mikes under the stage.
Unfortunately, the floor vibrated with the kick drum and the audio was nothing but rattle.
The only song they played that wasn't on an album was a cover of Echo Beach, but we released the tape anyway.
What Australiana can I inflict today?

The Meanies were my favourite band up until Dennis died. I think I've been to more Meanies gigs than anyone else.
You need to feel the bass line in this track... Feed it to a decent sound system.https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xlfqpMUqRuU&pp=ygUbdGhlIG1lYW5pZXMgc29ycnkgdmlvbGVuY2Ug

^I like that. Loved the Meanies too.

Something lighter from me. From New Jersey.

They're playing in someone's basement, so I wouldn't be certain there was ever a mixing desk to tap in the first place.

I've just been sampling the Asexuals discography to see how they'd change with production.
I'm going to have to keep going...thanks for the Montreal contribution.
I already followed the Bouncing Souls, thanks bee.

I'm surprised how little Nursery Crimes is on YouTube.
An Eleanor Rigby cover and this.
