I love Radiohead but I don't think OK Comp. is their best.

My overated album is Love's "Forever Changes". The critics and music geeks have been swooning over this album since 1967. I just don't get it!

REM's "Out of Time" is ridiculously overrated.

I was a huge REM fan back in the day and I think this is their worst album by far (up through "New Adventure's in Hi-Fi," anyway). And yet this is the album most people love, the one that sent them into superstardom. It sucks. Even the critically dismissed "Fables of the Reconstruction/Reconstruction of the Fables" is better. I actually like that one. Alot.

Tool - "Aenima." It's okay, really, but there are only 9 real songs on it--6 of the tracks are filler. And I'm honestly just not into the overall sound of it. I much prefer A Perfect Circle.

Ministry - "Land of Rape and Honey."

KoRn - "KoRn." Yeah, it had a lot of influence on metal, but I'm sorry, I don't like any of the songs on it.

Skinny Puppy - "Too Dark Park." Crappy, old-sounding synth that doesn't hold up.

NIN - "Year Zero." I like it overall but it's still overrated.

NIN - "Pretty Hate Machine." Again, crappy old-sounding synth. "The Downward Spiral" is way better IMO.

My Chemical Romance - "The Black Parade." Gerard's voice is god-awful.

Anything on this list: The 100 Best Metal Albums of All Time

Anything on THIS list: Rolling Stone 500 Greatest Albums Ever

Or this one: Time Magazine's All Time 100 Albums

Loads more, but that's all I can think of at the moment.

Yeah. That's why I despise them.

There are a lot of overrated bands with CDs that exist, so I'm not going to name them all. But, of the bands I like:

"The Wall" -Pink Floyd: Their most depressing and least mind-bending.

"Show No Mercy" -Slayer: It's good, but they evolved so much, and many like to claim this is their best.

"Nevermind" -Nirvana: Do I really need to say anything?

Prometheus: The Discipline of Fire & Demise by Emperor. Period.
The most overrated band period: I
Immortal, what the f**k are you thinking.

metalica in general .... they are the metal band everyone knows but there not near worth it ... i can understand why, even when they where putting out real thrash it was still very accessible but i can barely listen my way through a whole album its just boring

iron maiden - The Number of the Beast one of maidens worst imo

black sabbath - st it has some kick ass songs on it but it quite clearly wasnt put together as an album ............ and the amount of sabbath worship bands out there is just ridicules

The Beatles - i just dont like them never have ......... but somehow literally bigger that jesus (it was them who said that wasnt it)

Nirvana - smells like teen spirit it was even written as a nirvana song i dont understand why you cant all go worship the pixies instead

opeth - black water park there was about 6 months there where i couldnt turn around twice without hearing about opeth .............. why black water park? because its there only album i heard .... at every party as a soundtrack and whenever i got a lift from anyone under 30

i wont go into real pop culture or touch on emo (basically the same) it just pisses me off when people reckon there rebellious or some crap cus they listen to the same old or slightly out there bands as all there friends

Watch the documentary "Behind the Wall" (look for it on youtube) about the making of "The Wall" and you will see it was the very fans like yourself who saw Pink Floyd's music as a psychedelic experience that lead Roger Waters to spit in a fans face and say to himself this is it I quit. The Wall is his answer to you people. Alot aspies are not into feelings and label "The Wall" sentimental rubbish.
So your not in the minority here in not liking it. Personally its my favorite.

I didn't know he literally spat in a fans face. Thats even worse than only doing it metaphorically by producing such an embarrassingly awful album.

For me, I find Gang of Four really overated. I used to think I didn't like post punk because of them, until I dug a bit deeper and found things like ESG. I also find Television incredibly boring.

That really made me laugh! I read Pitchfork because everyone at Drowned In Sound seems to worship at its feet but my god is it pretentious.

Absolutely anything that music fans tell you you MUST have. I bloody hate music Nazis. You dont know what music is unless you listen to Zeppelin? Screw that. I'll listen to what I damn well like. If Zep I like, Zep i will listen to. If they suck, I wont.
