I guess we vote here. My pick would be 3,2,1, though 2 came through huge and coming apart.

!, Was solitary, the end, yet with a lot of foreground, the drapes overstated. It misses the chance to add to the scene. To frame and direct the eye.

2, Drew the eye back and forth, lacked composition, but I did see it where the picture was larger than the screen, and the background distorted, the skyline might balance the image.

3, Spoke to me, told stories, an image with meaning. I found it well done, adding a center and power to the frame and subject. New Orleans, Egypt, Sumaria, the meaning would be the same, an image that crosses thousands of years. Like many very old things, surviving in out of the way places.

I am in New Orleans, on the edge, and do fine art printing. Not a lot of aspie action around, only two I know of on WP, and a new one in Baton Rouge.

On the contrary! I find the works of art to be ranked in the exact order they are listed.

1. This painting is exquisite! It is the only one of the 3 that moves me. It evokes feelings of sadness where the other two paintings are just a distraction.

2. I'm not even sure what this is supposed to be representing. The colors are awkward at best, and it is far too busy.

3. This smear of inks looks more like a Rosh ire Ink blot test than a painting.

Definitely #1 is the winner!! ! In fact, I would be interested in contacting the artist to discuss it further.

Thanks for the input. I have some friends that paint for a hobby and they like to pick a topic and then they try to see which one comes out the best. These pictures were based on Mardi Gras colors and a "silhoutte" type of painting.
