Some articles and short stories I've written.
How long is a day?
According to man a day is 1 rotation of the earth.
What about the days on mars?
How long would a day be for our sun?
How long would a day be for god?
Is a day a period of time when light hits the earth? If that is so then a day is not 24 hours, but fits in with the eras of time. When the meteor that hit earth turned the skies pitch black, a night had come. When the Earth had become covered in ice eliminating all life except for the algae on sea, and it had passed, a day had passed.
Did the bible tell gods method of creating life? Does the bible tell how long a day is? What if evolution is god’s way of creating life? What if a day is an evolutionary jump by god’s standards? What if god has many standards of a day? God did let man decide names for creatures didn’t he? Did god state how long a day is?
What is god’s method for creating life? Is it intelligent design, or is it evolution? How does evolution work? If god’s method for creating life is evolution, then are we blessed with his knowledge? If the bible does not give a clear definition of a day, then we have no clue what god’s definition is, or do we? Without a definition of a day from god, who is to say there is a conflict between the bible and Darwin’s theory? Did God create man from dust? Did god create all life from dust? Are monkeys dust? Clocks do need readjusting on occasion do they not?
Did god create man to rule over the Earth and its species? Is a ruler given limited powers? Is a ruler not allowed to develop certain technologies if he is the supreme ruler? Did god say genetic research is bad? Is it murder to kill something that will already die? Do god’s laws change just because he says people are forgiven for their crimes? Is adultery legal in the bible? Does god’s law not matter if he says if you pray to him you will be forgiven? Is one of the stated laws and punishments less important than a simple phrase? Is disrespecting your parents illegal? Do we follow others words too blindly instead of thinking for ourselves? Do we actually read the bible instead of hearing what it says from other people? Do we read the entire bible? Do we memorize the entire bible?
Is a phrase from god telling us not to do something more important than a law given to us by him with a punishment deemed death? What is the punishment for children who disrespect their parents in the bible? What is the punishment for adultery? Should we not engage in making god’s law mans law, even though we seek to make a mere phrase from him law? Does god say man shall not lye with man? Does god say man shall not marry man? God says thou shall not covet thy neighbor’s possessions does he not?
What does it mean to forgive? If your forgiven, do you still not face the punishments deemed appropriate? Does forgiving somebody for murder mean they don’t deserve their punishment? Does Adultery hold the same punishment as murder in the holy bible?
What defines dust? Does it define scraps of the earth? Does it define decaying matter? Does it define DNA code and life that has not yet died? Does god say what dust is, or does man define what dust is?
Is what one man says more important than what another says because he is religious? Is it wrong to idolize somebody who is not god? Is it possible for a president to sin? Is it possible for a Christian to sin?
Should a true Christian read a bible by himself, and understand it for what it is instead of letting somebody else tell him what it means? Is the bible highly open to interpretation?
Is god perfect? Is man perfect? Is man created in god’s image? Is man’s image perfect? Does Man’s image change? Is this article over?
Folk’s, we must ask questions, and without them, we will not find answers. Some answers may never be found, but we must stick with what we have, and improve on it. Evolution may very well be god’s method of creation, and without god’s holy definition of a day, it does not conflict with the bible, and it’s the best idea out there. Besides, there is no evidence to support Intelligent Design, and the bible does not state it as god’s method. Also there is plenty of evidence against Intelligent Design, but not any well known evidence against Evolution. Also, god does not say it is murder to kill something already going towards death, nor does he say it is murder to pull somebody off of artificial life support. People argue against gay marriage with the unnatural argument, yet it is found in wildlife all over. People arguing against gay marriage with the unnatural argument wouldn’t happen to keep their argument on artificial life support would they? The entire goal of this question article is to make people think, and understand, and clear their head and understand things for what they are. Also the goal of this article is to show the cherry-picking of the bible the Republicans have done with Gay Marriage, yet showing no signs of disallowing adultery. Adultery is not even a valid reason for divorce according to Oklahoma.
A story, with a moral.
Long ago a family had left their land chasing after Rabbits, Deer, Fish, and many other creatures. They eventually had their land wrestled from them, with grand children refused the land they rightfully owned.
It all started in a continent known as Africa. “Hello lady, I found Deer running across this land bridge, shall we chase?” said a man known as Ochota. “Yes, please, we need more meat” said his wife. Soon they chased after the deer with spears, and eventually caught up with it, and ended the Deer’s life. It just stood there, with a spear in it, lying on the ground, shaking. It had met its demise, and was going to be turned into a tool for their profit. Its bones would be used for tools, its skin for clothes, its meat for food, and its land for hunting.
The Deer finally met its doom, its children were going to be homeless, as they were forced to flee or suffer annihilation.
Later that night they feasted on its flesh, the women cooking it, while the men scraped the bones making them into fine arrowheads. The Children were assigned the daily task of scraping the flesh clean so that the women may later turn it into clothing, as the winter was nearing, and they needed to stay warm.
They went on feasting through the night, and slept until high noon the next day. Suddenly, a loud roar screams through the skies, an Elephant had killed an attacking lion. They then realized they had lions all around the area they lived, and decided to move back. When they went back to the bridge they crossed in, they found water had covered it, they were trapped. They searched around the island, establishing tents, houses, and learning of the land. There was no way out.
They decided they would stay in hiding and see if the Lions died of starvation, although that would not work, as they needed food as well. Eventually they decided to come out, and kill the lions themselves, one by one.
The first lion was a tough one, a big beast with an enormous mane. The first man died fighting it, as the lion had bitten his neck though, another one impaled its belly with a spear. The Lion lay dead, resting, on the man. Soon enough they had figured out some clever guise to kill all of the lions, and even better yet, they were exterminated.
Now being the supreme rulers of the land they now owned, they set about setting up camps, farming the land, and learning the properties of its plants.
One by one, people tried different plants, learned of their nature, and mastered the alchemical secrets they posed in curing diseases they had not yet encountered. Not only were cures found, they also found regents that could help them cure meats, they made tools out of a volcanic glass they found there.
Occasionally through the time to follow, serial killers rose, murderers, thieves, and simple but blatant kings who tried to conquer. Some were around in the times that would change, but many were innocent, and took care of their family, tending to making sure the land was preserved, and avoided farming because of the depletion of land commenced every time a fruit was picked. Instead they stuck to what they could gather.
A lovely Garden of Eden this was, a lovely place to live, once you knew how to do so. The land was not to be tamed, but to be mastered, understood, and taken advantage of. No farming was necessary, all the tools needed no metal, and they had everything they needed to live, no reason to advance. They had a Utopia of their own, a land of their own. They were invincible.
Times change do they not? Nothing is eternal, even the loveliness of heaven that this place had been would soon change, and become a damned hell, a place of misery, injustice.
Soon had arrived a new breed of people, ones with beautiful crafts of all types. They had knives of metal and gold, amazingly strong. They traded for simple hides and foods, of material value, yet this metal was strong, a godly product. Times were to change, but would they for the better or worse?
At first they were friendly, and desperate for help. The natives showed them foods they had never seen before, and taught them how to grow the food. The Natives offered enormous portions of meat for a simple, single, knife. The people new to the place were in what they thought to be the Garden of Eden itself. The people that were sent back to bring valuable furs and grains of long forgotten fruits, had told the tale of the Garden of Eden itself, that it had been found, discovered, with a new breed of human.
More had come, and more land was wanted. They wanted land, but how to get it from the natives? They could always take it by force, but how would they do that to such friendly people? They finally settled for making them out to be savages, an ungodly sort. A sort from the devil himself.
After years of persuasion, the new breed of man finally had a common thought, the natives were savages. They thought savages had no right to own land for themselves, had no rights at all. New Breeds thought savages were not even men, were unequal in gods image. The horrors start.
Now I shall tell you the tale of a man, and his views on what happens next.
“It is complete savagery, they cut our people in half for fun, they force our women to have sex, and it is horrible. They force our children to starvation, rounding us up in these strange tents, made of trees they so ruthlessly chop down. They destroyed our land, depleted our soil. We will soon have nowhere to go.”
“My people will tomorrow be forced on a journey across the island that will take days. They promise good food and water. They promise better land. Why can we not stay where we are? I must stop giving in to their demands, and fight them back to where they came from.”
“I have tried fighting them, but it only leads to more annihilation of our people. They now call us savages even more, they beat us more. Just the other day a man who refused to do what an invader said was hung, for no apparent reason other than his incomplete obedience. They treat us like dogs.”
“I dream of my past, where I was free to roam and hunt wherever I wished to. I hunted deer, brought meat home, and helped keep the family safe. I can do none of that now. Back then we offered these new people free food, free land, free shelter, and this is how they repay us. We had no need of material possessions until now, as we had more than enough. We had more than enough land to hunt and gather food. We rested on full bellies. Now we rest trapped in closed camps with little or no food. We rest on empty bellies.”
“Today they start the move; children who refuse to get up instantly are whipped at the post. They are whipped at their backs until the flesh tears, until there is blood flowing down the helpless body. Women who refuse to get up suffer the same.”
“Caravans of strange wagons are being packed with food. They offer us no shelter; we must walk without decent clothing, as we had not enough time to gather some. Some elder women are being moved without any clothing at all, as they give most of what they have to help keep the children warm. Many have caught strange diseases from the invaders, and are dying in large numbers.”
“The Journey is coming close to a stop, as night is nearing. The Invaders are setting up fires, refusing us the joy of getting close enough to feel the bristling warmth of the fire, while instead we feel the numb cold pain of the snow.”
“We must have arrived at our home, it is a desolate place compared to where we were. We must start anew, and so we shall. I have high hopes for the future, let us hope they are true.”
So goes along many years of peaceful life, the natives work hard, and reach their old state of peace again. Then come more people, “demanding land that we rightfully own, even according to the invader people’s standards. How could anyone be so cruel? Some are forcing others to sign strange pieces of paper at gunpoint. They are stealing our land, and the invader people’s that have already settled in will not help. We are doomed.”
After many years of hardship and suffering, the invaders soon become natives themselves. They are born on the island, they flourish. Soon some future born natives give benefits to the old natives, in return for all their ancestral hardships. They give them everything except land, they give scholarships, they give medical aid, and they give everything that they can get even without being the old natives. They are given their own pseudo government, although it is too small, being more of a neighborhood than a city. The one thing many natives want most is land, their tribe offers some, but they want much of it, to fulfill old traditions, for hunting. Yet the government will not give it to them, they only give them things that they already give to low income families.
“Ah, my grandfather was a fine man. He suffered many hardships; will this court not give me my birth right and give me back some of the land that I truthfully deserve? This entire island is stolen by your people! All we ask is for some land to farm with, hunt with, and enjoy our old traditions with; can we not at least get that?”
“We request our own government, which we had before you came and annihilated our people! All We want is our own land, with our own government, untouched by your people.”
For all their hopes and dreams, they had failed. They were not given their own government, and they were not given any significant amounts of land, yet less than ¼ of what was there was actually used.
For those of you who don’t have it figured out, this is the story of Native Americans. This is much like what they suffered, in punishments, and damnation. Anyone who is not ignorant can open a history book and read about the troubles the Native Americans have endured. Please, for the sake of humanity, give them their own government, and land, untouchable by the United States, the government that so willfully destroyed them.
Guilty
Of standing by, and letting corruption reign.
We are all guilty of standing by and letting crime happen. By not stopping crime we are essentially responsible of it ourselves. What happened when slavery started? People supported it, and those who didn’t sat by and let things happen, hoping for the better. What about when a woman is gang-raped in a bar, with many people sitting around watching? Nothing happens, nobody reports, nobody stops. Everyone is too damn selfish thinking about what could happen to them than what would happen if everybody stepped in to help.
A saying goes that I’ve read, that says stand up for what is right, even if your standing alone. I am that person standing up alone; standing for what is right, and hoping for others to join. It sickens me, and makes me want to puke when I think of others not joining in, in helping to push back evil into the depths of darkness, and shaping this jagged, ugly rock we call America into a utopia, where light shines, and evil has no place to hide. Where everybody squashes the evil bugs when they see them, instead of let them multiply.
The only ones that are standing besides me are the ones who commit these atrocities. The only ones who stand besides me are trying to stab me in the back. The ones who stand here beside me are trying to push me down, to suppress me, for I might bring more followers in this holy crusade.
Those who believe what I believe are trying to pull me down, to save me from physical and emotional pain, of what might happen if I fail. It would be awful if I failed, but I rest easily after failing knowing that others were responsible as well, because they failed to stand up. If we don’t all stand up against corruption, read carefully the text that were given in business, and law, and interpret it properly, or else we may never have a chance at a utopia.
In a Utopia everyone does the right thing, and that includes forcing people to stop gang-raping a woman. It means to tell when somebody steals, to make them put back double what they took. It means to stand up for what is right, and when forced down, sprout up again, and again, and again.
If we fail to speak up against those who oppress us, and sit in the darkness hoping to change, to fit others ideal of a fit society member, we will only feel regret in the end, which I, by writing this, and standing up, hope to avoid.
Join with me brethren, and stand up against crime, against corruption, for what we have, and making the best of it, whether we are of any race, sexuality, gender, or defect.
Please join me and stand up against oppression and crime, gangs and corruption, and let others know of this article, so that more may stand with us.
