Never saw Furngully, or very many Vincent Price films considering I pursue vintage horror. Saw "Theatre of Blood" and for some reason it didn't quite live up to its description in Cult Flicks and Trash Pics. I like 'em violent, but I expect a Vince flick to be more subtle.

Okay, my list:

"Big Meat Eater": I've never met anyone else who gets this movie. I could watch it a hundred times, just pondering the the true nature of the Bolem. No, that's not a typo.

"City of the Living Dead/The Gates of Hell": My favorite Lucio Fulci film. I think his fans don't appreciate it largely because it's his only big movie that was always available uncut here in the States, so it never had that allure of forbidden fruit like its sequel, "The Beyond", or "New York Ripper". All of his other zombie epics just have the same feel of inescapable doom, but in "City" the omnipresent danger is permeated by so much confusion that you feel like absolutely anything could happen!

"Inferno": Sequel to Dario Argento's "Suspiria". It has its flaws and doesn't look as nice as its predecessor, but what Argento was trying to say about corruption, religion, and life in general really struck a chord with me that a lot of his fans just don't seem to get. Hope he gets off his butt and makes the third installment "Mother of Tears" sometime before he dies...

Actually, how many members here have seen ANY movies by Lucio Fulci of Dario Argento? Maybe I should just declare them all underrated by virtue of being obscure?

"Meat your fate. Meat your fate! MEAT YOUR FATE! MEAT!! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !"

"Popeye" by Robert Altman, complete bomb and supposed mess but I really liked it. I'd like to see it again.

I loved that movie. And speaking of movies about totalitarian societies, I also liked Gattaca a lot. A movie with a great film noir-like atmosphere and great music by Michael Nyman.
