ah, not even heard of that wood myself. I have done a few projects with my father with jarrah and huon pine. Just a bed, a dining table, and a desk.
The best smell so far is fresh cut sandalwood.
I got and used some jarrah to make a christmas gift for my foster sister, a crafts person, and turned my first cylindrical box in it. I've built a loft bed (back in 1982, still sleep in it) of pine, fir or spruce. My first TS project was a pine back shelf for a free formica topped electronic workbench. My second and first major project was a cupboard/dresser combo in oak ply with oak trim and face frame, based on a baby changing dresser. I also had to make a new sewing machine console when the old, melamine one got broken during a house move.
I'm familiar with sandalwood incense, so I'm feeling intrigued enough to find some sandalwood and try it, thanks!
