I scanned through the music section and i havent seen anyone speak about hard rock or hardcore music. Does anyone like Korn, Deftones, Slipknot, Dillinger Escape Plan, or As I Lay Dying or wutever heavy band.

Major priest fan

Only music with a strong beat, since I like dancing, otherwise I don't really like metal or very hard rock music. Mostly because when I hear that kind of music, nothing particularly positive comes to mind.

There are quite a few metal fans on WP though, and there've been a few threads about it in the past.

I don't mind a bit of Metal, I don't listen to it as a preference though.

About half my mp3 collection is metal/hardcore...i.e Slayer, Pantera, Minor Threat, Refused, Gorerotted, Converge, Sick of it All..

I hate knuckle draging metal like metalica etc but there are some metal influenced bands I like Lightning Bolt would be one of these

I love Saigon Kick and Helloween. Another great band is Brother Firetribe, which sounds like a mixture of Bon Jovi and Journey. I'm more of a melodic metal, hair metal and prog metal guy than heavy metal, though. Bands like Treat, Def Leppard and Night Ranger suit my fancy.
