Every rose has its thorns?

If all flowers was a rose then how sweet they all would be,
but then we would miss the sweet sent of lilacs in a mid summers breeze.
If all thorns was but a petals on some of the bush's of life,
then some bush's would be like the lilacs all covered in colored delights.
but if all flowers was like the lilac then how boring they would all be,
where a single rose with its thorns my be a challenging attraction indeed.
but you see not all thorns or flowers are as sweet or as obviously pointed as they may seem,
others you see are so sweet they are sticky to the extreme,
or tenderly pointed to where they may not seem as dangerous as some thorns may be,
sometimes their colors and scents and thorns are nothing more then an attraction
for the insects in life who just wants to believe in a dream,
for while within the petals is but a trap full of its own sweet sticky mandibles of clingy needs,
just waiting to snap closed for its own meal to retrieve.
so before you stop to ponder a sweet flowers tender needs,
be sure shes more like that of a lilac or a rose and not something to good to want believe,
just to find out that she was more then what you really wanted or bargained for
when you find your self stuck in her sticky retrieve.
