OMG people OMG people!! !

I decided to try some Trent Reznor since so many of you in your profiles posted NIN being top notch with you HFA or Aspie traits.

OMG!

I just finished a 45 minute walk with headphones and NIN and wow I feel so empowed!

Never has anything so rivaled my Led Zepp fetish as NIN.

Pretty Piece of flesh and others and as I walked I felt like James Woods in Carpenters Vampires or a dramatic character in a movie.

I've got NIN- The Downward Spiral, i've heard it twice and quite like it, is this their best album? However good it is, it will never take over my Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin and Rolling Stones obsessions.

I've been to one concert in my life and it was NIN. Pretty Hate Machine is my favorite album. I also like Tool and A Perfect Circle. I didn't realize a lot of people on here like NIN.

I liked A Downward Spiral lots, he said his main musical inspiration for that album was David Bowies 'low' (which i havent heard)

PHM & the early EPs were great too, but i stopped following them after the double album (fragile?) - wasnt feeling much of that one at all.

HAHAHA

For a while a few years ago, I was seeing NIN on cars, motorcycle helmets, etc... ALL OWNED BY WOMEN! 8O

I didn't know enough about the band to know what this mysterious NIN was.

I thought it was some sort of liberated woman club or something

Are you familiar with the german band Running Wild? They had a sort of speeded up maidenesque sound in their heyday, only with a pirate theme.

sorry for derail.

1988 - Port Royal

i think that year was when they really settled into the piracy theme and started to introduce a more epic/melodic (maidenesque?) songwriting approach.
