Could you give me any suggestions for her symptoms? I have Aspergers, but I want more references on what Aspergers can be. Can you give me some suggestions?

The symptoms depends on her age, because some of my symptoms were more severe when I was younger. How old is she, a young child, teen, or adult?

I would say an adult, around 22 to 25 :D She's looking for a job, and she just got out of college

Let's see.... confused about dating, sucks at it, too much pressure trying to figure it all out.
What kind of job? If it's a basic one like fast food, no big deal. If it's one requiring an interview: stressed, knowing she'll blow the interview pretty much no matter what but trying anyway, feeling unemployable....
Feeling alone in a world where everybody else seems to fit right in, knowing she can't fake it quite well enough, that eventually she'll always slip up again....

Hey, if you want to PM me a list of questions or something, feel free.

just write.

seriously, you're analyizing this too much. Writing is a subconscious thing that needs to flow from within yourself based on your own experiences.

other peoples' suggestions can easily cloud your own gut instincts.

I write better if I make the character first :D I'm in a special writing program at my school, so I don't have to worry about that much.

Hmm, I didn't think about dating!
Definitely an interview :D I want her to not do so well in the beginning, then start figuring it out at the end :P

Don't people make NT characters or something?

If you base it on Berserker, you wont have to build many sets since she never gets to leave the house.

(sorry Ashleigh),

Seriously though, talk to Ashleigh.

Use your own symptoms. I'm writing a novel about a girl who has aspergers and that's what I'm doing.

My story would have a lot of cats in it.

That's a great idea. She should be shabbily dressed with her hair uncombed. She should be fixated with some weird topic which she always babbles on about, like doorknobs or chinese military history. Maybe she could be like the bandcamp girl from american pie.
