it takes a lot for a metal band to gain my interest. that said, pantera is one of my favorites.

Pantera definately kicked major ass. Very talented musicians. Phil Anselmo was a great vocalist who could scream or sing nicely. Dimebag (RIP) was an amazing guitarist who revolutionalized metal guitar. Rex was a good bassist, and Vinnie Paul was a tireless drummer. If they would've stayed together, who knows what cool new stuff they'd be coming out with. Unlike metallica and megadeth, pantera never sold out. Though megadeth actually made a comeback.
