Has anyone read these books? There's a movie based on them currently in theatres. I just read the first one, and it's cute! Perfect for kids!

My son, who is not a fast reader and doesn't really enjoy reading, has read the first one. He loved it! I'm going to have him read all of them during the summer. They are very quick and fun.

I read them when my little sister got them, just for something to read. XD They're cute, and really well written (plus the illustrations are beautiful). I actually quite enjoyed them, despite being way over the target audience. ^^;

Holly Black has some other books out which definitely aren't suitable for children, but are still really good. I think one's called Tithe and I can't remember the other.
