"He's here, the Phantom of the Opry!"

Also, a hymn medley in Ragtime: The Angel Rag
(How many hymns can you pick out?)

As well, we have Rachmaninoff going Ragtime, in: The Russian Rag
(Notice the inversion/perversion of Rachy's main theme in the second half of the song.)

And now,
Liszt rhapsodizes over old New Orleans in: The Hungarian Rag
(Be patient with the annoyance of this one; it gets better. 8) )

And finally,
Opera is well and truly raped in this Ragtime slurry, The Operatic Rag :)
As an operawrite myself, I have to admit this is .
(Bonus: Can you name all the operas represented?)

I love your take on the classics! I am a huge fan of 'Phantom of the Opera' - the parody made me laugh! Ragtime, previously you shared some of your music on WP; I downloaded it - you're very talented and obviously music oriented - a real gift.

Thanks for sharing these 'exploited' versions of the classics - too funny.
