Youtube, obviously. It was related to a different search but when I saw the Black Sabbath show title I was curious.

I figured there had to be some of us out there that liked older metal and for them that would be gold.

Anyone else have any favorite bands or amusing things about old metal?

One of my guilty pleasures has always been the 80's metal band Cirith Ungol. They were so gloriously ridiculous that you just couldn't help but love their music.

Hey, thanks for posting that. So . . . is it really from the 70's?

I really like Sabbath of course, but I don't know if I have a favorite old metal band. I like a lot of different kinds of old metal. I think the ones I listen to the most are Slayer and Motorhead. And Sabbath.

Good taste.

I have no idea if that's really from the 70's, but I'm pretty sure it's a parody. I guess no one remembers seeing it on TV?

How about something different. I was shocked to learn that Richard Pryor once dabbled in metal. This really is from the 70's. And he can actually play guitar, too. I wonder if this helped inspire Spinal Tap?

Heaven and Hell is the only Black Sabbath album I ever really got into. Never cared for Ozzy at all. I'm a big fan of Dio era Rainbow. Unfortunately Holy Diver is Dio's only good solo album. Invisible is the most brutal metal song ever.

I used to be heavily obsessed with Iron Maiden, but as it turns out my favorite album by them is brave new world, which is recent. :?

I love speed and thrash metal from the eightees and ninetees. Good examples are old megadeth, old metallica, slayer, testament, old anthrax, pantera, exodus, and so on.
