Hehe, ok, that's a no.
Short Ride on a Fast Machine is a piece by minimalist composer John Adams. It has a constant woodblock halfnote pulse running through the ENTIRE thing, and i can't get that sound out of my head^.^
What is a "constant woodblock halfnote pulse?" That string of words means nothing to me. Please forgive my ignorance.
And what is the Fast Machine?
A woodblock is a block of wood that percussionists hit, that makes a very distinctive sound. A halfnote is just a measure of time, marking 2 beats. So there is a percussive sound every 2 beats, for the entire 5 minute piece.
I think it's a Fast Machine just because the piece is pretty fast....and relatively short. hence...a short ride on a fast machine.
If you have itunes, I can email it to you if you want. it's pretty awesome.
