any KMFDM fans out there?, any industrial fans in general?

I recently discovered them and I really like the whole anti-establishment vibe. Believe it or not I found out about them in an article about Columbine and I took a listen and it turns out, they rock!
Not the best advertising though
From there, I took a greater interest in goth rock.

I wouldn't recommend NIN, too depressing... I prefer to listen to ministry's Jesus built my hotrod, Breathe or Burning inside.

I'm a huge fan of Megaherz.

Also rammstein, but they aren't so industrial.

none of the bands like rammstein, nin, kmfdm, ministry etcetera are industrial. at all. industrial actually is a very narrowly defined area of music. it doesnt have anything to do with a machinery or stompish kind of sound and it isnt a tie-in to rock/metal/whatever - the name derives from industrial records.

industrial is almost excluxively electronic music, and usually quite against all conventions what music is thought to be. its a relative to noise, not to metal. acts with a pop-like listenability like rammstein arent bad, but they arent industrial.
neofolk acts like death in june or current 93 derived from industrial, not rammstein and the like.

Not the big antiestablishment aspie here but I do like some industrial. Really big on a few of Skinny Puppy's cd's (Last Rights, VIVISectVI, Mind the Perpetual Intercourse), someone mentioned Ministry earlier - supposedly Al gets real bugged out about his stuff being called industrial but I still highly recommend Mind's a Terrible Thing To Taste, Psalm 69, Land of Rape and Honey, Filthpig has its moments but not quite as good as some of the others on the whole.
Other than that I do like NIN but in the past I liked the remix cds more - Further Down The Spiral, NIN: Fixed (though Broken and Pretty Hate Machine are both excellent as they are). Also, don't know if they'd count as catching some edges of industrial but I do like the PWEI Dos Dedos cd a lot.

Other than that its hard to say what I can really get into, I tend to like a certain specific kind of energy in music but its one of those things that I think I'm on my own with at least here on WP.

Well, they don't count as industrial but Joy Division, The Sisters of Mercy, and Gary Numan (old and new) are cool.

and many others who get thrown in with that crowd a lot. Bauhaus were great as far as gothic rock goes, and their immediate predecessors Joy Division. I'm big into a lot of post-punk music. NIN were the first band I really really liked, though I always thought of them as a bit more of an alternative rock act with a range of different influences including industrial music.

I am a fan of German EBM and electro industrial. And Skinny Puppy is my current obsession.
