Uh if we're talking about Highschool Musical or new crap then no. Old Disney cartoons =

I love singing Disney cartoon songs more than almost anything! Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Sword in the Stone, Beauty and the Beast, Sleeping Beauty.. I have songs from all of them on my computer!!

the instrumental soundtrack of the lion king was pretty good (hans zimmer i think)

zulu background vocals are always a winner 8) "busa le lizwe bo!"

i also "like" the uncencored alladin song "they'll cut off your ear if they dont like your face, its barbaric, but hey, its home!" aaahaha cowardly of them to alter that song, if they decide to be bigoted, they should stand by it. its not like the cartoon is from the 1930's or something, its recent, and the ones who made that song are still allive and healthy.

Heck, I even hate a lot of the movie music. But there are some I like. Given the entire body of music we're talking about, it would be hard to hate it all.

But yeah, the modern pop crap they're putting out is awful. The gadding about they do to the music isn't any better. But what is really annoying me is the covers they've been doing of all the classic movie songs. I've heard these around in their stores and the like. They'll have one of their utterly talentless teen trophies sing a song that was actually GOOD in the movie and ruin it. I also loathe the common practice they have of sometimes having a song that was sung by the characters in the film (and sung well) covered by some warbling pop singer to capitalize by turning it into a radio hit. I have even tried to find the original film version of a song and found only the ostentatious pop cover is available.

Before seeing this thread, I didn't even know that those live-action movies referred to here were Disney. I'd think that most other people probably wouldn't know of those as Disney either, unless they're either a preteen girl or have one in their family.

The Disney music that *I* know, I like a lot! Anything from The Jungle Book is great, and the two that Ligea Seroua cited are personal favorites of mine as well. I also like the music that Robin Williams sings to in Aladdan. If Mary Poppins is a Disney film, then there's a whole bunch of material right there that I love.

I suppose anything in which the main cast of characters are teenagers, is what needs to be banished.

Little April Shower from Bambi was one of my favorites since I was five years old.

I also think that the music from newer movies including Aladdin is splendid.

I love a lot of old disney movies and music (I love The Lion King!!) but I agree with how crappy it is now. disney channel is terrible and annoying now, and so is nickelodeon.. kid shows have become so odd, stupid, and most of them pointless.

rock on! i have the movie. i also read the book.

now, let's see...

tale as old as time,
true as it can be....
barely even friends,
then somebody bends unexpectedly.
just a little change,
small to say the least.
both a litttle scared.
neither one prepared.
beauty and the beast.

beauty and the beast is a very beautiful movie.

disney just needs to start finding old fairy tales to remake and go back to hand drawn. 97% of their big, classics films come from an old fairy tale. or 98? i don't know, it's a lot.

p.s. i totally separate high school music disney from old disney.
