he's just trying to be alice cooper and ziggy stardust.

and he has that lovely catholic school quirk of being entirely and absolutely anti-christian.

the music doesn't scare me....his fans scare me. especially the ones who can't differentiate fiction from reality.

I don't think he realizes or cares about what his fans are like.

I've read a funny story about him getting suspended for a few days, in Grade 2. He whipped out his dick to prove to his clasmates that he was a boy.

For the most part I don't care for his music, though I really like the covers he's done of other artists' songs. His version of "Tainted Love", for instance, is one of my favourites. I also have his covers of "Sweet Dreams Are Made of This" (Eurythmics), "Blue Monday" (New Order), and "Down in the Park" (Gary Numan), and I like them all.

I will say, though, he knows how to milk publicity for all its worth. Several years ago he had booked an arena in Calgary as a concert venue as part of a concert tour. But as the date drew closer, the arena management decided they didn't want someone like him performing at their venue, and cancelled the concert. Manson's people threatened to sue for breach-of-contract, and the issue generate substantial media coverage. You can't buy publicity like that.

(The concert went ahead as planned after the arena realized that it would lose the lawsuit.)

My only comment on that issue was, if you don't like his music don't buy a ticket for the concert.

I was looking at the back of one of his CDs in a music store once, and I've bursted out laughing.

ironic considering how glam was a big influence on early punk and protopunk and all marilyn manson encapsulates is a modern interpretation of the glam movement(bowie...not motley crue) and stuff like alice cooper.

His girlfriend (wife?) seems like a cute aspie. And he seems to be a gentleman who takes good care of her.
