He was a genius. He'll remain a unique musician forever.
I'm looking for those who could give me any info about the technical equipment he used for getting that unforgettable clear sound.
I know about the B.C.Rich Chuck Schuldiner Tribute Stealth Metal guitar with that special Dimarzio X2N humbucker and about the Marshall Valvestate amplifier. But may be there was any more equipment that I don't know about?
We tried to combine sounds on ZOOM 505-II but nothing came out of that. It's all overloaded and has some low background sound, although we tried that with B.C.Rich Kerry King Wartribe guitar.
Could you please advise some good pedal for getting the sound at least similar to Chuck's?

My one tip would be to ditch the 505 pedal. I've recorded with that thing and it's cheap and nasty and just sounds horrible. I can't imagine there was much more used than what has been said, apart from maybe a distortion pedal of some kind, but wouldn't like to say which.
Apart from that, you can never go wrong with a Line 6 Pod. Those things are just fantastic, and won't set you back far too much these days :)

Thanks, RogueProcess :) I heard many times that Zoom was not the best one, but it was the best one I could find that time :) I'll certainly try a new good one!
