Last week the self-proclaimed King of Pop, Michael Jackson, has turned 50. Jacko sold more albums than any other singer in his category and has been popular worldwide, though after some more troubled recent events seems to prefer a reclusive lifestyle.

Do you rate him as a sleazy weirdo, or is he above all a brilliant performer to you?

PS: I am not a fan myself, although I enjoy some of his songs. I know his dancing is very iconic but I mainly like his ballads such as Stranger in Moscow, Earth Song, ...

There will never be another one like him, call him the Gene Kelly of disco and soul and pop. There is only one Elvis, only one James Brown

we have no right to judge him. All we know about him through media and papparazzi.

I hate the word freak...it's so American, you hear it in all your movies. Is it true American youngsters use this all the time for someone who is different?
Did they ever call you a freak because you are different, and now a freak is judging someone else who is different to be a freak?
knock it off!

No, he's not a freak. He's an exceptionally talented singer/dancer/songwriter, though.

he definitely left his mark. timberlake, usher, even his sister all copied his dancing and singing style. Thriller was also the first film-level music video.

Freak who inspired a bunch of sh***y popstars, completely overrated, Pedobear-approved, and is obviously mentally unstable.

Then again, I hate pop music.

I think he has interesting music, but as you put it, I consider him to be a "sleazy weirdo".

you judge the NTs, too, you know.

Have you ever met a normal person? And, did you like it?

subtle, but still a judgement.

Merle

you are right, very subtle...it was a slogan that I remember from a sticker in a gay venue. it sums up that people find us queers abnormal, and that basically most people are not normal for the normalcy, somebody somehwhere, somehow has something, but if we want us to be normal we wouldn't have people like Woody Allen IE.
