Does anyone have Guns N' Roses or Metallica's new albums? And what do they think?

ran to the shop, bought Chinese Democracy the day it came out, and......meh. Not awful (the rest of the band are now musically far ahead of Axl Rose) but just NOT THAT GOOD. Save your cash, borrow someone elses.

I'll stick with Clutch, thank you very much :)

It would be hard for anyone to live up to that level of expectation....and so many years gone. Luckily AC/DC were only expected to come back sounding like AC/DC...not the hardest feat in the world

I haven't bought or listened to more than a few songs, but while I was rather underwhelmed with the title track, I was pleasantly surprised by Better.

Chinese Democracy absolutely kicks ass.

Death Magnetic is a f*x2kin' masterpiece, in my opinion. One of my top favorite albums as of now.

Lol, I do like AC/DC but i'm not really sure how they've gotten away with never changing over the years.

Yeah, Death Magnetic is a return to form for Metallica.

I can't wait for Iron Maiden's new album.

Well, they changed a shedload after Bon Scott died, but in my opinion each album has a bit of a different sound. You can't compare Back In Black to For Those About To Rock, and definitely not Flick Of The Switch to Fly On The Wall.

Black Ice to me has a few different elements from several earlier albums. Speaking of Bon, as much as I love the song "Anything Goes" from the new disc, Bon would be rolling in his grave if he heard it.

yeah, but the pattern of their songs are almost identical. Like the chorus's are just simple everytime, maybe not on Back in Black so much. Anything after that album is average. Even though Flick Of The Switch is underrated.

Why, whats wrong with it? :P Can't be as bad as "mistress for christmas"

Not one of the best songs on The Razor's Edge, but it's alright to me. I know a person who doesn't like "Money Talks" because it's too poppy.

But yeah, I forget about how the tracklist pretty much blends together in terms of similarity. That's very noticeable on For Those About To Rock, especially.

I really don't like For Those About To Rock. Maybe they lost the hunger after the big success.

acdc and metlica's new albums were both awasome guns and roses hmm sounds like axel 's singing career is all washed up due to that botox that he got.
