They had a couple of singles placing just outside the top ten in the U.S., which was highly insignificant compared to their success in the U.K. and elsewhere. Scott Walker even had his own T.V. series, if I remember correctly.
Most Scott Walker fans tend not to listen to the albums which were huge, more most of the ones which weren't.
Scott 3 marked the beginning of the decline and
Scott 4 was a complete dud.
Climate of Hunter was Virgin's worst-selling album up until that point.
