Please tell me which one song (any artist/band from any sort of genre) best fits/matches the WEATHER in your habitat right now.

For me (in Minneosta) I shall say "Viðrar Vel Til Loftárása" by Sígur-Rós.

I like the cut of your jib. Sigur Rós's "Svefn-G-Englar" was the first thing that came to mind when I read the topic title. I guess Ágætis Byrjun is just a really "wintery" album.

Manic Depression by Jimi Hendrix. Some days, it's sunny and other days it's miserable.

Mary Sunshine Rain by Dada. could describe the legendary English weather most of the year, but especially lately - it'll be sunny outside, but by the time I've got dressed up to go out it's pouring with rain!

Currently a choice between "Stray" (Opening theme song to Wolf's Rain) and "Penny Lane" (by the Beatles, whom I -hope- you've all heard of)

I think 'Meat Is Murder' by The Smiths sounds quite cold (as an album) and the musical mood of the album could best describe the overall mood of the weather.

Are you kidding!! !??? They are my favorite! I have all of their U.S. releases on vinyl and CD as well as a slew of UK Album versions. I have all of their movies on DVD (even "COncert For George") and a coup-le of posters (revolver-srgt. pepper era). Bottom line: I suffer from Beatlemania!! !



Yea, I think the whole album suites this year. "()" may be my favorite, but what do you think of Takk? I think it is alright-not the best- but better than "Von" the album. Although "Glósólí" may be one of my favorite tunes by 'em, you know? Don't you agree? Are you in concurrence with me?

I don't think SR (or any other band) are ever going to top "( )", mainly because the first track is the most divine thing I've ever heard. The rest of the album stacks up really well, and the last few minutes of the album are utterly mindblowing. Perfection.

Takk is a solid follow-up, especially Glósóli, Hoppípolla, and Svo Hljótt. No bad tracks there, but no huge standouts either (unlike the bumpy AB and Von).

If it's not too obvious, The Lovin' Spoonful - Summer In The City and in the afternoons when it rains, Sky Is Cryin' by Elmore James.
