I'm quite familiar with him, yes.

I'm an especially big fan of his later work. The Drift might even be my favourite album of his.

They had a couple of singles placing just outside the top ten in the U.S., which was highly insignificant compared to their success in the U.K. and elsewhere. Scott Walker even had his own T.V. series, if I remember correctly.

Most Scott Walker fans tend not to listen to the albums which were huge, more most of the ones which weren't. Scott 3 marked the beginning of the decline and Scott 4 was a complete dud. Climate of Hunter was Virgin's worst-selling album up until that point. Tilt and The Drift have a strictly cult appeal.

I quite like The Drift but I have to be in a special mood to listen to it, sometimes his vocals are slightly annoying to me.

definitely a very interesting character though.

...I meant solo Scott , not the Walkers .
I think my language stated that .
Not to be " unduly " Aspie , hah hah hah hah hah hah hah...
Phil Spector didn't produce the Walkers' records but they could be said to be rather in the Spector " style " . I guess , I've used the phrase myself...

Really dark stuff. I heard about him when I started looking into David Sylvian's solo stuff and Talk Talk's later material. You might like those too by the way.

The Drift and Tilt are really disturbing. A pity that there isn't more back story with some of the tracks... you get hints of it in the documentary - the same documentary that you saw also inspired me to start listening to his music.

The Walker Brothers album Nite Flights is phenomenally good, in my opinion.
