Is it good to have some elements from anime in novels, but not too much or else it'll sound fake? I just wanted to know.

Also, will it make your story more original since few authors form the West use anime influences in the novels?

I always use anime influences in my stories (not the white light gleaming from objects or one person knocking the other person to the wall or to outer space like Pokemon), but not enough to make it fake, so I just wanted to know if it's a bad thing or a good thing.

I think that whether or not someone considers it a "bad thing" or a "good thing" will largely depend on your audience. If your stories are aimed at people who love anime, then they'll appreciate it.

Some themes exist out of anime, but not all of them. If you're talking about plot, characters, setting, and themes as in morals, then yes, it does resemble both anime and Western shows/fiction. But if you see how the authors make some sort of weapon (like say, devil fruit powers, Jichuriki hosts, or some weird object (or even normal object with strange powers), utilize the characters, or have a strange phenomena (like Fruit Baskets), then you'll see that probably few Westerns Novels these days, even Fantasy, don't have these things. Of course, these are based on the fantasy novels I read, so I could be wrong on this one.

But even so, when I tried to create this story about a half-white, half-black slave girl in America finding her purpose in life, it just felt like anime to me. I didn't put any weapons or strange phenomena in it, but the way I used the characters and the settings and props just felt like an African American anime story to me. That's all I can think of I guess--anime.

Again, this is based on my experiences with western novels/ shows and manga/anime and Japanese shows.

i would recommend having characters say "that's...impossible!" constantly.

also characters from anime shows you like should appear in the novel with the same personalities and using their regular catch phrases constantly. you should change their names slightly changed for copyright reasons though. and be like "wink wink" in italics just to make sure people understand. everyone will love you for it.
