i have an idea for a book, and I wanted to know how to get it published if/when I ever finish it :p

WRITE THE BOOK FIRST!

Oh, and there's a book called "Getting published FOR DUMMIES" (yes, it's from those guys), but it'll give you a realistic glimpse into getting into a major publisher. Publishing your own work yourself can get expensive quick!
