Does anybody like the Will Eisner-created comic character THE SPIRIT ?
Nowadays , DC Comics is publishing a " modern-day " version , which is fairly decent , though sort of lightweight .
If I had TONS 'n' TONS o' dough , mebbe I'd get (sigh) those hardcovers of Eisner's original version that DC has out .
The recent movie was sort of " entertainingly bad " , I liked it...but knew what I was getting into , having read many reviews & posts . It doesn't really have the " feel " of Eisner's original .

I've seen some samples of the comics. It was pretty racy for the times...

A Contract With God was an excellent book. Have you read it?
