I just bought my daughter a violin today. I was tying to look up some information on the maker of the violin and I cannot find anything.

The label inside says it is a Scott Tchau handmade instrument San Jose 1995 Model STV017.

I did find violins with that model number made by Scott Cao. Nothing for Tchau though. Does anyone have any information about Tchau?

According to this:

Scott Tchau is in Scott Cao's workshop.

You might want to at least send Antigone a PM with that info. Considering that the last time she logged into WP was over 3 years ago, she's probably long forgotten about this thread she started, and probably won't see your post unless by sheer luck.

"What type of violin is that?"

"It's a Scott Tchau"

"Gesundheit. What kind of violin is that?"
