i am not interested in the beatles much.
i think paul mccartney was the most talented.
john lennon wrote "spriritual" stuff and appealed to people on LSD more i think. he was hippyish.
mccartney was more deliberated. "let it be" was the song i liked most by the beatles, and mccartney wrote it.
when they split up, they lost a lot of their creative symbiosis, but lennon wrote stuff like "imagine all the people" and mccartney wrote songs i could enjoy more like "live and let die".
i think that john lennon has a very "spiritual" message in his words (which i do not understand), and he conveys it with simplistic music. think of the melody of "imagine" without the words, and it is apparent that is is a simple vehicle to get an "important message" out.
but mccartney wrote his music first and then thought of words i think.
i do not really like any of that type of music, but this song i am going to post a link to is extremely rich in composition and performance. but i listen to no other song by mccartney, and none by the other beatles.
sorry about the visual montage that was obviously created by some fan, but the song is nice. i do not like the video visuals, but the song is very well gifted.
i love the piano and the backing vocal arrangements.
