If you don't know, Roger Waters is the bassist of Pink Floyd. He made some solo stuff in the 80's and 90's, does anybody like his music? I listened to some of his Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking songs on YouTube, they were pretty good.

My younger brother went to a Roger Waters solo-concert this year.

Yeah, but he played Pink Floyd's stuff, I'm talking about his actual solo work.

If it was The Wall tour I saw that in Denver, Colorado and it was pretty awesome.

I've heard a bit of it, but I've probably heard more Pink Floyd.

I'm really not a fan of his solo work. The Final Cut had a couple good songs though, and Pink Floyd basically admitted that it was the same as a solo work for Roger lol.

Gilmour on the other hand has some pretty amazing instrumentals from his solo albums. Once he throws lyrics into them though, it all goes downhill haha (ok ok, a few are decent).

That's why I thought they worked well together, Roger was great with lyrics but not that great at writing the actual music. David Gilmour/Richard Wright were amazing at writing the instrumentals, but their lyrics often fell flat.

What about Syd Barrett's solo work? I have his first one, The Madcap Laughs, it's great!

I have a CD of his greatest hits or whatever so it has various songs from his solo work, I enjoyed it for sure.

The Final Cut is the best Pink Floyd album.

Pros and Cons of Hitchiking isn't that great except for the title track and Every Stranger's Eyes.

Radio KAOS is fantastic and underrated.

Amused to Death is one of the best albums of the 90's. I'd rank it above most Pink Floyd albums even.

The "In The Flesh" concert DVD is one of the best concert DVD's I've ever seen. Fantastic performances of all his best songs, great stage show, and it has subtitles for the lyrics. I wish more concert DVD's did that.

Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking has a lot of good songs, like Running Shoes, Go Fishing, Moment of Clarity, and Dunroamin Duncarin Dunlivin.

Not a big fan of "Hitchhiking" overall, but Every Strangers Eyes almost moves me to tears. It's a great song with great lyrics.

I love all of "Radio KAOS" and think it's an undiscovered masterpiece. The youtube videos are hilarious.

"Amused To Death" is also a great album. As my father fought in WWII, it moves me emotionally to hear 'Raz" talk about WWI. The various "What God Wants" songs are at once sad and funny.

I saw that tour. The songs weren't all that distinguished. With the exception of 5:06am (Every Strangers Eyes).

I really enjoy Amused to Death, haven't listened to much of his other solos.
