I was just wondering who else likes the genre of symphonic rock. The most well known band is Trans Siberian Orchestra. I'm listening to Beethoven's Last Night right now, and thought I'd see who else liked them.

Try The Moody Blues or Emerson Lake and Palmer on for size. But, if talking about the best known of the genre, all my money (and a good portion of my CD collection) would be on Yes.

I'm not the biggest fan of TSO's Christmas music but I absolutely love Beethovens Last Night. The song Mephistopheles in particular.

Oh yeah, I also like Mephistopheles' Return and What is Eternal?

I love TSO- Christmas music and Beethoven's Last Night. I find their Christmas albums to be very calming becase they do rework many traditional Christmas songs- the familiarity combined with good memory associations.
