Writing a comedy movie

I started working on this last summer. I am not saying what subject the movie is about,, but its a subject I like a lot. I think 1 or 2 movies have been written basically around this subject but they were flops. I have written the basic concept for the movie,, several scenes,, concepts for scenes that need dialogue added. I have designs for some of the main items in it. Funny names for different businesses in the town. I know what I want the opening scene to look like but don't have the whole story configured. I want Jim Carey as the lead character. I write more stuff when it comes to me.

Sounds like fun. What style of comedy is it? Dark? Slapstick? etc...

My humor is typically literal and sometimes dry.
