Talk about yourself for a bit
Hey, I'm Lucy. I have Asperger's Syndrome. My favorite bands are Golem, The Decemberists, the Ditty Bops, Belle and Sebastian, PJ Harvey, and about a million more. My favorite song right now is "Heart It Races" by Architecture in Helsinki, although it changes a lot. I was baptized Catholic, raised Episcopalian, but am now converting to Judaism. I sing (I'm a soprano) and my singing hero is Annette Ezekiel from Golem. All of my heroes are way too obscure, so I'm not going to post them. I joined so I can connect with other Aspies like me.
What for? I hadn't even done my first pot by then... lol
But your welcome anyways... I guess. Can you just clear it up though, coz I'm confused lol
Sometimes we help each other without knowing.
I wrote a long sketch of my life. You posted a short intro, and gave instructions to see your blog for more information.
I didn't know there was a blog. After I found it, I copied my long story to my blog, then edited my post on this page down to bare essentials and directed anyone interested to my blog.
Thanks for showing me how!

Hi everyone
Where to start... I'm 20, from New Zealand but live in England, and I have AS. I was never 'properly' diagnosed, though my mother is an advisor to schools on Autism/AS so never really thought a 'proper' diagnosis was necessary, as it was so glaringly obvious it was I! Anyway, nobody actually knows I'm AS except my dear boyfriend. I've become rather adept at hiding my little quirks and blending with the population, to the point that I probably wouldn't be diagnosed at all these days. It's still there though, little do they know!
My main obsession is music. I live it, breathe it, work it, dream it. Music is my life. Prior obsessions marking my childhood have been dinosaurs, the titanic, 4-leaf-clovers, the supernatural, Japan, and foreign languages to name a few. I'm fluent in Japanese and taught myself Danish too.
I'm a writer/journalist.
Erm... that'll do for now.

Hi, my name is Michael.
I am 29 years old. I live in Jacksonville, FL. And I work full time at the community college as a custodian.
I'm not sure whether I have AS or not. I've narrowed it down to AS and SPD. Either I have one, the other, or both, if that's possible.
I'm single and I've only been in one relationship. I'm not looking.
My interests: Myths, legends, and folklore. I'm really into fantasy and the fantastic I suppose. I like to read, watch movies, listen to music, play video games, surf the web, and watch some tv. I also like to cook(mostly stir fry and fajitas) and of course eat.
Favorite TV Shows: Futurama, Family Guy, American Dad, Monk, Psych, Heroes, Chuck, Reaper, Scrubs, The Ultimate Fighter, Human Weapon, Last One Standing, Dirty Jobs, Mythbusters, and Dog Whisperer.
Favorite movies: Galaxy Quest, Edward Scissorhands, Big Trouble in Little China, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Labyrinth, Kill Bill, The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, Unforgiven, All Studio Ghibli animated movies, All Pixar animated movies, Most Akira Kurosawa films, All 26 Zatoichi films starring Shintarô Katsu, and hundreds of others.
Favorite music bands/artists: Radiohead, Doves, White Stripes, Wolfmother, Jack Johnson, Mason Jennings, Xavier Rudd, Johnny Cash, Marty Robbins, Roger Miller, Destroyer, The Shins, Supergrass, and Pearl Jam.
Favorite books: The Bartimaeus trilogy by Jonathan Stroud, The Wind on Fire trilogy by William Nicholson, The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien, Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams, Dune Chronicles by Frank Herbert, Watership Down by Richard Adams, American Gods, Stardust, and Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman, Silverlock by John Myers Myers, Three Kingdoms by Luo Guanzhong, Musashi by Eiji Yoshikawa, The Iliad and The Odyssey by Homer, and more.
States I've lived in: Ohio(From birth - 3), Texas(3 years), Tennessee(a few months), California(a few months), and Florida(Since 1990-present).
Countries I've lived in: USA, England(3 years), and Japan(2.5 years).
Where would I like to go in the future: I plan to move to Tennessee or North Carolina. I'd like to visit New Zealand, Iceland, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Alaska, and Hawaii.
What would I like to do in the future: I'd like to take some courses in computer/copier/electronic repair and do that kind of work rather than janitorial.
Hi;
My name is Gwendolyn and I think I have asperger's syndrome which means, of course, that I am undiagnosed. I learnt about it a few years ago when I was working in a community for people with learning disabilities and was doing research about the learning disabilities so I could understand the residents better. When I started learning about asperger's syndrome I started to think that I may not in fact be a freak. Every time I visit Wrongplanet or read about people with Asperger's syndrome I find another thing which I thought was just me being weird. Like being utterly confused why people refer to the eyes as the windows of the soul, or when I don't recognize someone and forget to pretend that I know who they are and end up in horribly embarrassing situations, or when I completely wig out when I'm in a strange situation, or the way I can't go to someone's house unless specifically invited. It is such a huge relief listening (actually reading) to people who are not NT and who say things that finally make sense to me. I suddenly find myself accepting myself for who I am, instead of berating myself for who I thought I was supposed to be.
I just came back to the US after a stint of teaching English in South Korea. I am working haphazardly on my novel and also applying to graduate school, but generally just living with my mother and wasting my time. I feel so unsettled because I don't have a job or my own place that I can't do anything constructive. Unfortunately it takes work to get yourself out of a place where you can't do work, which is a catch-22 if I've ever seen one (and it's not like they're visible). I am also very very single, which I am very happy with as I have trouble imagining myself otherwise.
Another interesting thing about me is that I am vegan because I hate the idea of causing suffering. I try very hard not to hurt others but it is very difficult sometimes because I don't know what will harm them. I actually can't really say I'm vegan because I end up eating my foot so much.
My constant companion interest: reading everything I can get my hands on. My unfaithful interests: writing, sewing, drawing, Buddhism.

I think I've got the AS, I'm not sure, but I've got all the symptoms, and I have so much in common with you guys it's rediculous.
About me:
Computer programmer
Musician
No good at talking to people, especially women
Don't like silence, must have radio/tv on all the time
Lonely, but comftorable with that now
Cats rule
This website is amazing, I thought I was the only freak out there, I can't believe there are so many people like us!
Hmm, where to begin?
My name is Jeremy. I am diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, obviously. I am nineteen years old, and I live in PA. I absolutely hate Schuylkill County, because it is where fun and culture come to die. I enjoy playing Guild Wars, and I am an officer in Dark Angel From the Underworld [evil], which is in the [Howl] alliance. I would really like to meet people who are just like me. I enjoy playing computer games, PS2, Wii, and hanging out with my friends. Guild Wars FTW! My in-game name is Jeremy Shadowstorm.
Much more to come.....

I was diagnosed with aspergers when i was 10 but didnt know until aged 12. it was a relief when i found out. i was diagnosed with dyspraxia when i was really little. Anyway i enjoy writing stories i started enjoying writing them at aged 8 and i have written lots of stories since. i also enjoy shopping because i get such a buzz when i buy something! I used to be bullied it started when i was 12 and went on till i was nearly 15 when the bullies got expelled. In this year i have grown a lot in confidence. Before i really lacked in confidence and self esteem but now i am getting better. Also at junior school i had lots of friends but when i started senior school it was all different. I have finally started to make some friends at this school. I did make a friend in Year 7 but then she started to bully me. Your probably bored i am rambling on a bit. So yeah this is the first site i am come accross that i can talk to other people who have aspergers. it is a usefull informative interesting site as well. i am glad i found it while surfing the web.
