Last time I went on what I thought was a date but she didn't? August 3, 2008

Apparently she thought we were canoeing, playing pool, having drinks on a park bench at night, walking through the city, and having dinner as friends

Last time I went on a mutually acknowledged date? Never

Oh hell, over a year ago, went to see Children of Men with her. Could have kept on going with her, but I didn't think she was ready to start seriously dating again (her fiance had died from an anuerysm a few months prior). Great choice of a movie, I know, but the movie itself wasn't as bad as the preview beforehand, for that movie starring Hilary Swank whose new husband died right after marriage. She started crying. Fun times.

Yeah that happen to me except I was on the other side. Some guy I kinda knew asked if I wanted to hang out, I agreed to. We went to see a movie, it appeared to be all casual until his dad drove us home. Getting out of the car, his dad said "are you gonna walk her to the door". Then if flashed in my head that ohh damn this was meant to be a date, hell no! I quickly walked to the door and brushed him off. I didnt know what to do. I have a boyfriend and he dosent know. I told my boyfriend about the little misunderstanding, he was ok with it as long as I didnt think it was a date.

As for dates in general, I have barely any conception of what a date is. Cause Ive never been on a formal one. I hang out with the opposite sex very often just as friends. Whenever Im with my boyfriend its like hanging out even when were alone. Its not a date say if Im just at his appartment. Even when we go out for dinner, its just going out for dinner not a date. Idk

Last night and today.

though I wouldn't call it a date.

My friend who I mentioned somewhere on Page 2 or so, came over and we talked for a couple of hours (she came over at 11 at night) about life and relationships (we're not dating, but really good and close friends) and then it was 2 and she went upstairs to the spare bedroom at my aunt and uncles and spent the night, then today I had a family reunion, so she came to that with me for a while.

As for my next one? I don't know. But our outings wouldn't be considered dates, even though she and i are good friends and talk a lot; and hang out when we can, though thankfully school starts up soon so we can finally see each other again.

So date? No, I wouldn't classify it as a date. just two really close and good friends hanging out.

I almost did once in April of this year, then it turned into a group outing at the last minute. Still a little enjoyable, but damn. :(

2 years ago... well, that one turned out a bit better than I had hoped if you catch the drift.

I did go out for a coffee with a girl in February, I think. Some time like that. Didn't amount to much.

Anyone who wants to date needs to get on okcupid.com. You can usually find someone if you post an honest and descent photo of yourself. Its an especially good site for aspies although you should leave that fact out of the profile.

That is a totally free site. You never need a credit card to get in. Donating money for support is optional. The way I see it, if you are successful with them, then send them some money as a token of appreciation, otherwise, don't.
I just had a quick look at this site and searched for men in the city where I'm living.

I think I just saw one of my work colleagues in a different department! 8O

ETA: I just saw another of my work colleagues on that site! 8O 8O

The last date I had was about 4-5 years ago. Every girl at work in whom I've been romantically interested has turned out to be married or seeing someone. At this point, I'm strongly considering getting the "VIP" membership at the local adult bookstore -.-

Yes, they do. California's been one of the first US states to legalise it (not the very first one though, I believe Massachusetts already had it legalised?). It was subject to heavy controversy but the law was passed in the end.

I am straight myself but heavily support gay marriage. Marriage is a certificate of love and love should know no gender. Thus marriage should be open to anyone, both straight people and homosexual people.

PS: in some states it is legal to marry your pet. There was a guy who married a cow not so long ago. To think this is possible while gay marriage is still forbidden in that state, is simply repulsive.

To me, to say to two gay people in love that they can't marry is the same as to say to a black person and a white person in love that they can't marry. I feel like saying to those people : Who the fcuk are you to tell me who to marry and not to marry? I pay my taxes, I deserve the exact same rights as anyone else.

Recently I met two gay men, both professors at MIT, who had been together for 30 years (!), and who came all the way to get married in California. Can you imagine the government telling them their love is no good in their state?

I just had my first actual date today! My new friend learned about my AS shortly before I asked her out, and she was very understanding and helpful when I found a situation to be awkward. We both had lots of fun, and will be doing this again soon. :D

I never thought it would work as well as it did today.

My last actual date was with my first and last girlfriend, about 7 and a half years ago now. The relationship lasted about six months.

I actually just recently went for coffee and such last Thursday. Prior to that it was late May.
